Cake submitted by Tami E. from San Antonio, TX

I baked 2 cakes in 9x13 inch pans. Let them cool. Then layered them on work surface and frosted with white frosting.
Then I used Wilton mist food color spray to make 'water'. I purchased little figurines of 5 Disney fairies with little stands ahead of time. I colored frosting in 2 different shades to match each fairy, and colored leaves green.
I piped green leaves and 5 large flowers on the top of the cake (using a cake decorator fitted with a leaf tip). I put a colored flower in each corner, and decorated with a bunch of leaves around the bottom.
I then placed the fairy figurines on each coordinating flower, and sprinkled pixie dust (Wilton white cake sparkles) all over the cake.
Fairy cake submitted by Tanya S. from Marengo, IA

This was my daughter's 5th birthday cake.
I baked 1 chocolate sheet cake (12x15), and cut it in half. I then cut one of the halves in half again, and placed it on the other half. Then I cut the other 1/4 into a triangle placing that on top of the 1/4.
I made regular buttercream icing, split it up and dyed it light green, leaf green, pink, purple, orange, yellow, and white. I iced the entire cake light green using a small angled spatula.
I used piping gel dyed royal blue for the river (spreading with a small spatula). Using the same spatula, I created vertical lines in the icing up each side of the cake.
Using Wilton tip #3, I piped small vines around the outside of the cake and the tiers. Using tip #66, I piped green leaves along the bottom of the entire cake as well as the front of each of the tiers.
Also with tip #3, I piped the small purple berries on each of the green vines.

I took one cupcake and turned it upside down. Iced orange-brown, and put it on the bottom tier of the cake. Using tip #7, I piped the yellow mushrooms on the bottom tier. I piped the mushroom tops with tip #22.
Using tip #2, I piped the small white flowers on the middle tier, and the centers were piped with tip #1. Then with the same orange-brown color as the cupcake, I piped a small island on the top tier where Tinkerbell sat.
Using tip #32, I piped the bright pink flowers all over the cake. Finally, I sat all the fairies on the cake.
