Cake submitted by Jerri K. from Waterford, MI
When I first started this cake, I looked at pictures online to find out what Wolverine looked like.
I made the character out of Rice Krispies. I molded them into the shape, and covered with a thin layer of frosting and then layers of the different colored fondant.
After making the layers, I offset the smaller layer to position the Wolverine on the cake. Frosted the cake, placed the character on and decorated around him.
Then I placed the black razor pieces. (Those were designed out of the colored gum paste to make them stronger.) I also used edible markers to write the Happy Birthday message on the gum paste.
The five year old loved this cake and was able to eat the whole thing with his friends.
